Magento Product Icons on Product pages

In my Magento store I would like to show a list of product related icons on the front end product page. It looks like product attributes is the best way to go?

How can I echo out the attributes as a list of images in the frontend.

All the attributes are set in the product page using a text field.

I'am using Magento 1.9
