How can I update my conditional formatting to be based off a dynamic cell reference?

I have a calendar on a sheet with names in Column A. Conditional formatting highlights cells if the date (E13) is listed on a separate sheet.

=MATCH(E$13, 'Vacation!$C:$C, 0)

(row 13 are dates from 01/01/2016 to 12/31/2016)

This works great, except when I filter the calendar and the names appear in a different row. The formatting does not follow because it is not based off the cell position of the name in the list.

How can I change the reference from 'Vacation!$C:$C to be based off whatever name is listed in cell B16. Right now the name in cell B16 is the header cor column 'Vacation!$C:$C, but if I filter the list the reference to 'Vacation!$C:$C is irrelevant.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.
