How to query a Registry Entry and use the outcome with a Batch file

I am looking for a way to add a Registry value into an IF Statment within my Batch File.

At the moment the batch file looks for a folder and if the folder exists creates a log file in a folder called Configured and if it doesn't exist then it creates a log within a folder called NotConfigured.

What I need is for an addition if statement querying a registry value, if the registry value = XXX then create log file If not create log file in XXX Location.
