I am learning javascript and i need help breaking down var answer = promt to understand it better

I have recently started learning javascript and so far it is a bit difficult and i need help breaking down each part of the line below. Would love to hear how everyone else understands it and is able to explain it to a beginner like me still getting the hang of it all.
