Javascript Performance : Switch vs Multiple If..else [on hold]

I would like to know if there is any considerable performance improvement, if we use switch over Multiple If.

I had gone through the question which was asked 8 years ago.Most of the links are dead. Is there any improvements happened during these years?

Does it differ based on Browsers? Is there any statistical analysis over this comparison?
