Multiple statements with conditional formating

I am trying to do some conditional formatting but run into a problem and can't figure it out so hoping someone can help.

On my Spreadsheet

• column a is either yes or no (chosen between data validated options)
• column b is a date (manually added)

Is there any way I can get each line to highlight if a equals yes or no (red for no and green for yes) AND b is a date equal to or older than today? (If date has not been reached yet then do nothing)
