Powershell - If Command when IP Address is Detected

My apologies if this has been answer in the forum already. I looked through the forums for a long time since I feel this is a question I thought many others would have. I had no luck of finding a answer.

In Powershell, is there a way to do an If statement where it executes commands if it detects an IP address online?
