Need a solution to find the mid of columns and print some content

I have provided the number of columns (say suppose 16) in cell A1. Now, I need to half the no of columns i.e 8 and print something in the 8th cell after A which I column. Please note that the no of columns provided in the A1 cell changes often. Could you please provide a solution for this.
