IF a cell has the value X, THEN colour the back ground of another cell using VBA Excel

I would like to create and If-Then statement in VBA excel that works like this:

• There is a situation (for ex: situation_1) and this situation can be good (green), to improve (yellow) and bad (red).
• If for example, the situation_1 is good, I put the letter X in the corresponding cell.
• I want that information of "good" to be reported again in the Excel document, but somewhere else
• So, I would like the code to state (for example) cells G6:G9 to be coloured in this green colour.
