incorrect syntax with if statement

I'm new to conditions in batch files. I need something to check if a file in a directory exists and if it does run a command. This is what I have but it's giving me incorrect syntax.

IF EXIST "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\OFFICE14\Office Setup Controller\"( cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\OFFICE14\Office Setup Controller" setup.exe /uninstall ProPlus) ELSE ( echo "Office 2010 is not installed on this system" >> AM_LOG)

Any help would be appreciated.
