Check if user is logged in then show something for everyone

Via wordpress i've seen that I can check to see if a specified user is logged in then do something.

So far I can only get it to show to the person who is logged in rather than everyone else.

The idea is if the vendor is logged in, then show as open otherwise show as closed but I can't seem to figure out the how to check for that in wordpress
