Arduino Barcode Scanner If Statement

I successfully got my Arduino Mega to work with my barcode scanner (Honeywell Eclipse 5145).I used this code here.

But now I'm trying to make an If statement when certain barcodes are scanned different LEDs will turn on. I've been trying for a while now but can't seem to get it to work. I'm not that experienced with Arduino so please include examples if possible.If you need additional information just let me know.
