Dictionaries from inputs in if statements (Python 3)

This has taken me the best part of two hours and a bunch of different attempts. Some attempts have been more successful than this one but I ended up deleting them without saving the files, so I'm not terribly sure how to go about explaining the thought process I went through or the issues with each attempt. I'm aware that this probably makes for a bad question, but I genuinely cannot make it any better, so I would appreciate it if somebody could just post a model answer and explain briefly how they accomplished each element of the task. task description attempt
