The data is not changed after running the loop?

I am new to Python. I want to divide data all in 1 column by 1000. Here is my code

for i in range(rownumber):
    round.iloc[i,6]=round.iloc[i,6]/1000
wb.save(filepath)

however, it is not divided by 1000 at all, what can I do?
