Java: Display specific buttons if one button is clicked

I am new to Java and I have a difficult question here:

So I have a simple GUI with some buttons, my task is the following but I will do it as steps:

1> if button1 is clicked
2> show button2 button 3 button 4

Sounds simple but impossible to me. How do I do this?
