Creating a dialog box in a for loop and an if statement

So I've created a program that creates a list of birds inside an array and the user can add, delete, view the array. The program works perfectly, top to bottom. The only problem is I need a confirmation dialog box to pop up and say "Your bird has been deleted" but for some reason the program skips over the line of code. Here is what I have: This is my code
