React if/else returns infinity and running before setState

I want to go through Function ScoreCalc then return the final "primeCount" and setState primeScore to that number.

I have 2 problems.

  1. this.state.animeMax is still empty '' when ScoreCalc() runs in componentWillMount.
  2. Even if I put static number in this.state.animeMax, console.log(primeCount) returns infinity. I am guessing it is looping.

If anyone has ideas, please let me know.
