I was trying to solve the /r/DailyProgrammer challenge number 2, Easy http://ift.tt/1HI1t6r I am trying to do this in python using a functions and a series of nested if-elif-else's here's my code:

The problem is, once it asks you to enter a value of the final amount, whether you enter a valid number or enter 'n', it always puts you into an infinite while loop of asking you for a valid final amount. I want to know why doesn't it enter the if or the elif but it directly enters the inescapable while loop.
